After talking about our favourites things (animals, colours, food, toys, hobbies...) now and in the past, we made a video.  We remembered when we were a little child.

CORNERS 5th B

Today it's time for pupils of 5th B. These photographs show how they work during the corner session.
Some of them are writing texts, others are reading books and one last group is doing games or activities with netbooks.

UNIT 5 - LANDSCAPES

Hello pupils of 5th grade,

This is an activiy to practise words about landscapes. You can review the words we learned in class but there are also new words. Can you memorize all of them?

There are three possibilities:

1. Explore: with the mouse, put the arrow on a picture and you will see and hear the Word. This is for learning.

2. Speaking challenge : try to say the name of the selected picture,  when you click on the play button, you will hear the answer.

3. Listening challenge: you will hear a word and you have to click on it.

As you know, we do corners once a week. Here there are some photographs of 5th A group doing this actitvity.
In another post, I will show how pupils of 5th B work.

Hello pupils of 5th level,

 It's time to practise some games about sports. What do you prefer: some crosswords or a wordsearch? You can try both.

RECIPES : LET'S COOK

We have been working on food, cooking actions and recipes. At the end of the unit, the pupils of 5th level wrote a RECIPE and now we can see them 

on the panel at the corridor. Here there is a sample. 

All of them did a good job!

FOOD - HEALTHY EATING

Hi again, pupils of 5th level!
Unit 2 is about healthy eating and we are learning lots of vocabulary about food and drinks. In this post you can practise the vocabulary with two games.

Game 1 is BALLOON BURST. You have to shoot at the ballons who have the letters of the food in the image.

Game 2 is THE COUNTDOWN. You listen to a sentence, click on the correct food and then on the degree of liking (love, like, hate...). You need to be very fast, the time goes down very quickly.

FAMILY VOCABULARY

Hi pupils of 5th level.

Here there are two games to practise the vocabulary about the family. 

Game 1 is easy. When you finish, click on "CHECK" and you will see your score. Tell it to me in a comment.  It can be like " In Game 1 my score is .... right and .... wrong"  or "I played the game ... times and my score is ...."

With Game 2 you will learn new vocabulary.  How do you say "nebot" in English?  Tell me your score, too.

Hello pupils of 5th and 6th level.

Here you can practice how to write the days of the week and the months of the year with some games.

EUROPEAN PENFRIENDS

A new school year is here again, and all classes in upper cycle have started their correspondence with students from different countries:

5è A pupils are in touch with a school in Poland.

5è B pupils have penfriends from Italy.

6è A pupils have the same penfriends than last year. They are from Denmark.

6è B pupils are in touch with new students from Greece.

We have sent our first letters. Look how nice they are, Tony and Guillem did a very good work!!

ENGLISH CORNERS

As is being usual the pupils of 5th level work on corners once a week. This school year the day is Thursday and we work in the lab.
We practice reading, writing, ICT and speaking through games.

OUR FAMILIES

The pupils of 5th level have been working on physical descriptions and information about the family. They have written texts about their familes at the end of the unit.

WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?

Look at pupils of 5th level acting out. They are at the school canteen ready for lunch, but one of them doesn't like all the food. What is she/he going to eat?  Let's see and listen!

Montmeló

Each class of 5th level prepared a powerpoint about Montmeló. They did all the work:
- took photographs around the town
- wrote the text
- recorded the voice

Christmas carols

Our pupils of Cicle superior participated in the "Cantada de Nadales" with two songs in English. The classes of 5th level sang "I'm dreaming a White Christmas" and 6th level sang "Santa is coming to town". Here you can listen to them singing the two carols.
